Daddy, Mommy and I took our final big road trip prenatal last weekend! I rocked and rolled for six hours in the car inside mommy. We had fun poking back and forth at each other. Daddy took good care of mommy and me, stopping frequently so we could stretch and mommy could use the bathroom. It was very nice and sunny that day, I could tell because my eyes are more developed and open now!
Our trip was a short and sweet one to Missouri. Mommy and Daddy love Missouri because the people are very friendly and hospitable there, and I’ve heard it’s a very scenic place. Last time I was in Missouri I was 22 weeks old inside Mommy’s tummy. This time I was 32 weeks inside Mommy’s tummy!
Our first night we met and stayed with new friends, P&J in Jefferson City. P&J had some wonderful people over from their church’s M committee; so while I enjoyed some delicious taco soup, all the adults talked about Asia, ministry, and many other things. P&J served in SE Asia for two and half years! It was fun for Mommy and Daddy to listen to their stories and ask questions. P&J also prayed for us before we left; mommy has noticed I like to wiggle a lot during times of prayer (and when I hear large choirs sing).
Our second night we met and stayed with friends from our last Missouri trip, R&F and their five kids near Villa Ridge. I moved a lot at their home because I could hear their kids and wanted to play with them! R&F also had some wonderful people over from their church, First Evangelical Free of Franklin County. All the adults and kids enjoyed some good fellowship, and I enjoyed my first classic Memorial Day weekend meal!
In the morning we went to First E Free. They are a new “partner church”, as Mommy and Daddy say, which means they support our family and G’s work in Asia through ongoing financial and prayer support. Since Mommy gets tired nowadays from standing for too long, Daddy stood and shared by himself the whole service about why our family is going to Asia and why media production. He did great! I’ve heard lots of people in the microphone since I’ve been in Mommy’s tummy, but this was my first time getting to hear Daddy’s voice in the microphone; I like hearing Daddy.
After the service, Mommy and Daddy enjoyed getting to meet many nice people from the congregation. They said they felt very welcomed. The church held an international potluck for us after service, so I got to enjoy all sorts of food like Korean, Chinese, Mexican and Italian! What a yummy world!
After lunch, we started our trip home to Kansas. Mommy and Daddy say it’s always hard when they have to say good-bye to friends and new friends. Many people said they can’t wait to see pictures of me! And I know Mommy and Daddy can’t wait to see me, that’s for sure.
I enjoyed another six hours of rocking and rolling through hilly Missouri and the Flint Hills of Kansas, while Mommy and Daddy enjoyed seeing a beautiful sunset. I can’t wait to see the world soon!

-To R&F for hosting us, making lots of delicious food, and going above and beyond to help us connect with their congregation (and their son T for giving us his room for the night 🙂 )
-To First E Free of Franklin County for welcoming us, blessing us with food and fellowship, and supporting our family and ministry
In His love that binds us together, Sarah Lynn
